Trading Beads
For Resources

“Supplementing expenses by trading sponsored beads on such an epic journey seems fitting and is super helpful. They add to the excitement of this challenging adventure.”

At an art festival in Baardskeerdersbos, Antony met the widely acclaimed South African potter, John Bauer.

John creates unique porcelain beads and has always had a dream of his beads travelling the world. As Antony was planning his journey, it seemed fitting for the two of them to team up.

Antony will use John’s beads to trade for resources such as food, water and shelter and will document his escapades along the way.

“Craft is another manifestation of love, healing and meaning. I hope my work continues to achieve these goals,” John explains.
